Hereford Choral Society is now offering the opportunity to sponsor each of its concerts which take place in Hereford Cathedral three times a year. The package gives your organisation access to our member and audience groups. In return for a one-off donation comes the benefit of an association with an established and trusted community group as well as high profile exposure for your brand.
About the society and the audience it attracts
Established in 1837, The Choral Society is one of Herefordshire’s most recognised groups in the community. Membership of the society is drawn from across the county of Herefordshire, with around 150 regular singers of all ages. Our conductor, Geraint Bowen is Organist and Director of Music at Hereford Cathedral as well as Artistic Director of the Hereford Three Choirs Festival. His work with the cathedral choir has included CD recordings of works by William Byrd and Herbert Howells, BBC Radio and Television broadcasts. In February 2018 the Choral Society was privileged to be invited by Prince Charles to perform for him in Buckingham Palace.
Each concert attracts up to 700 people. Demographic profiling from Kantar Media shows that classical music concert goers are more likely to be in higher affluence groups and aged 55+. Indeed, this also describes our audience composition.
