“Christmas doesn’t start until Hereford Choral Society has sung Messiah, or words to that effect, are frequent comments following this atmospheric, candlelight concert. Add in the evocative sound of the period instruments, played by Marches Baroque, and you have an unforgettable experience.

Much-loved since that performance at Neal’s Musick-Hall in Dublin’s Fishamble Street, Messiah has been at the heart of the choral society tradition for over 250 years.

On 14th November, our alto soloist for this concert, Hugh Cutting, was announced as the 2021 winner of the prestigious Kathleen Ferrier Award. We are absolutely delighted that Hugh is able to join us for this concert.


Tickets from only £10 (unreserved). Up to 2 children under 16 will be admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Parties of 10 or more receive a group discount of 10%.
